Expat Immigration Services in Bangladesh

Private sector employers who are willing to employ foreign nationals are required to make arrangements for employment visa in advance. The documents required for a work visa is as follows, however, additonal documents may be needed depending on the nature of the application:

Employment Visa In Bangladesh:
  • Prescribed application form from the relevant government authority
  • Two copies of Passport size photograph of the applicant (45mmX35mm)
  • Photocopy of passport of the applicant
  • Approval letter or letter of recommendation from relevant authority such as BIDA or BEPZA
  • Copy of the employment letter or extension of employment contract with full terms and conditions of the employment.
Investment Visa in Bangladesh:
  • Prescribed application form from the relevant government authority
  • Two copies of Passport size photograph of the applicant (45mmX35mm)
  • Photocopy of passport of the applicant
  • A letter of approval from the respective ministry such as BIDA or BEPZA
  • Up-to-date Income tax clearance certificate
  • Bangladesh Bank’s permission (for liason/branch/representative office)
  • Declaration of existing employees with breakdown of national and foreign personnel, salary, designation, nationality and date of appoitment
  • Encashment Certificate for last two years

As a formal requirement, all the documents of the company or firm are required to be attested by person filling up the post of Chief Executive of the company such as Managing Director, Partner, Proprietor, etc. 

NGO visa in Bangladesh:
  •  Prescribed application form from the relevant government authority
  • Two copies of Passport size photograph of the applicant (45mmX35mm)
  • Photocopy of passport of the applicant
  • Letter from the concerned NGO and duly attested by NGO Affairs Bureau
  • Letter of apointment with date of joining, full terms and conditions of the employment.
